There are no additional fees or subscriptions unless you would like your child to take an in-depth, adaptive diagnostic assessment and/or have tutor monitored access to a web-based adaptive learning system that combines the diagnostic assessment with over 250 unique lessons to create a customized course for each student. The cost of the diagnostic assessment is $25. Access to the web-base adaptive learning system is $99 for one year. This is an excellent way to give your child additional practice and monitor their progress.
Online tutoring provides students, parents, and the tutor several benefits that support learning. Students have access to my teaching material online. Having the materials online and in a centralized location ensures that papers don’t get lost and lessons can be referred back to when students need a reminder. Because students as well as parents have access these materials, parents are easily able to check in on student progress.
Through the use of screen sharing, I am able to guide students through lessons as if we were in the same room. Students and tutor are able to see each other’s writing in real time creating an immersive math tutoring experience.
Tutoring sessions are followed up by assignments for students to work on between sessions. During our subsequent meeting times, we are able to easily review completed assignments and remediate as needed.
